In order to fill the protein gap and overcome malnutrition, Government of Pakistan felt that poultry was the quickest and least expensive solution. The need to graduate Poultry to a new professional level was identified. Government initiated an intensive poultry rearing program on experimental basis under PIA and Canadian firm M/s-Shavers joint venture. It was 1962 when Commercial Poultry was initially introduced in Pakistan.

In 1981, Dr. Muhammad Aslam and Haji Abbas, Started Islamabad Poultry Breeding Company. It was a humble start, due to hard work and strictly no compromise policy on quality let the company grow rapidly. Further along the avenue due to continuous growth of business another company Islamabad Farms was lunched.

Company owns three of the most modern and well constructed hatcheries. The first hatchery was built in 1985 at Islamabad the capital city of Pakistan. The second was at Lahore in 1992 and third was in 1993 at Multan all most the central city of Pakistan.ln 1981 the company production capacity was about 20,000 chicks/week, which now has improves up to 1,000,000 chicks/week.
Company has constructed breeding farms equipped with state of the art instrumentation and having provision for housing of 500,000 broiler breeder stock. A highly qualified and professionally skilled staff has been engaged to operate this farm production system. All managerial staffs are skilled in poultry breeding. The supervisory staff has passes long practical experience in the relevant field. The quality of our human resource is a distinction among the competitors.
A well designed bio security system (back bone of a successful production system) has been adapted to overcome the disease challenges. Our bio security system remains active during the empty houses and during brooding, raring and all the laying periods of the Hooks. This bio security system covers all outer and inside surfaces of the production area and all in and out going objects from the farm premises. All internationally approved disinfectants are being used by spraying, dipping, washing and fumigation techniques with modem instruments.
To ensure optimal standard of production broiler breeding, highly isolated and well constructed production houses has been built. These production houses are equipped with automatic feeding, drinking, evaporative pad cooling, heating and ventilation systems from Big Dutch man, Giradanoo plast, Glacier etc. the leading brands. This state of the art instrument plays a significant role in maximizing the product quality.
A successful disease control of parent stocks is made possible by the help of an advance clinical support system, enables the regular monitoring of the flocks. An appropriate vaccination program has been adopted to minimize the threats of certain disease challenges.
This successful bio security and disease control system enables us to maintain excellent flock’s health, yielding highest standards of production and disease free hatching eggs.
